The Veneto Trail 2026 will start from Cittadella (PD) on Friday 19th of June<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Veneto Trail <\/strong>includes a mix of gravel roads, trails, singletrack, and quiet paved roads that changes from edition to edition, aiming to keep the right balance between a meaningful adventure and a route that is not overly demanding. The 2026 route will be 480 km long with approximately 11000 m of positive elevation gain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Veneto Trail 2026 features a largely renewed route, returning to the clockwise direction used in most editions, with several new sections, especially in Trentino. The Asiago Plateau, Lagorai, the Dolomites, and Monte Grappa will not fail to impress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Veneto Trail 2026 starts in Cittadella. The route follows quiet paved roads and smooth gravel tracks along the Brenta River, up to the beginning of the long climb toward the Asiago Plateau. From Rubbio, the gradient increases and the surface alternates between compact forest roads, concrete sections, and gravel, reaching Monte Cogolin and Monte Valbella through World War I mule tracks and easy singletrack. The section toward Gallio offers a chance to recover some energy. This is followed by the climb to Monte Colombara and Cima Portule via Val dei Nos, one of the most demanding sectors of the route, with mixed terrain rich in stones. From here begins the long, scenic paved descent of the Menador, ending in Valsugana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Veneto Trail section in Valsugana is fast and flowing. The route runs alongside Lake Caldonazzo and Lake Levico, then crosses agricultural areas to Borgo Valsugana. From here, it climbs toward Passo Cinque Croci on a long and steady forest road, followed by the descent to Canal San Bovo. From Canal San Bovo, the route climbs first to Lake Calaita and then descends to San Martino di Castrozza. With impressive views of the Pale di San Martino, the trail climbs to Passo Rolle and then reaches Val Venegia, one of the most scenic sections of the entire route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new section for the Veneto Trail will be Passo Lusia on gravel, followed by the descent toward Moena and Canazei. Another new climb starts at the end of Val di Fassa, heading toward Passo Pordoi. This is followed by a long descent to Arabba along a fast and technical trail, which should be approached with caution. From Arabba, the route continues to Alleghe and Agordo, then enters the Mis Valley and reaches Val Belluna. Fast gravel and paved roads lead toward Feltre and Lake Corlo, where the final climb begins: Monte Grappa. The last part of the route features the descent from Cima Grappa along trail 105 to Madonna del Covolo. It is a long, fun singletrack with many switchbacks. After passing Cassanego, the return to Cittadella follows flat secondary roads and gravel tracks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
